Homemade Peanut Butter Fudge
- ⅔ cup of milk
- 4 Tbsp of butter
- 4 cups of white sugar
- 1 cup of peanut butter
- Mix milk, sugar, and butter in a large saucepan. Cook to a soft ball stage*.
- Remove from heat, and add peanut butter. Beat well until smooth.
- Pour into a greased pan and chill. Cut into squares when cool and firm.
*“Soft ball stage” means that you should cook the mixture over medium heat until the temperature reaches 240F degrees on a candy thermometer. A small amount of syrup dropped into cold water forms a ball, but is soft enough to flatten slightly when picked up with fingers. Do not over cook soft ball stage or you will have hard fudge.
My therapist told me the way to achieve true inner peace is to finish what I start. So far today, I have finished 2 bags of M&M’s and a chocolate cake. I feel better already.
