Have you ever wondered how to make homemade whipped cream? Actually, it is pretty simple. Just whip heavy cream with some confectioners’ sugar.
But still, there are some things you should be careful about. Namely, if you mix the cream for long, it will separate and you will end up with butter and water. If you stop mixing too early, the cream will be too thin and watery.
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 3-4 Tbsp confectioners’ sugar
In a large bowl, mix cream until stiff peaks form (about 1-2 minutes, depending on your mixer).
Add sugar and mix just long enough to incorporate. Do not overmix or cream will become lumpy.
