See my Shortcut Amish Friendship Bread (no starter) recipe.
how long do you cook the amish starter bread?
do you bake the amish friendship bread after 10 dayson what degrees and for how long?
You do not cook the amish starter. You use it to make Amish Friendship Bread. After 10 days you bake the Amish Friendship Bread at 350 F (175 C) for 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a loaf comes out clean.
how long can you pass this starter along since it has milk in it? Does it go bad? I received a starter a few years back and remember something about adding a pudding mix or cinnamon to it right before cooking. Do you know anything about that? I don’t have the faintest of how much.
The starter works really well in a 2 gallon Ziploc bag and instead of string you just squeeze the bag to mix it. You will also need to keep it in a bowl, crock or something to keep it standing up. Burp it now and then because of the fermentation or bag may pop and that gets messy.
Thanks for tips!
