Autumn flavored whole grain breakfast loaded with nutrients and fiber.
Comforting and filling, Pumpkin Porridge (or oatmeal) is a great morning treat.
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup milk, any kind
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup canned pumpkin
- 1/4 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- agave syrup, maple syrup, honey, brown sugar or stevia, to taste
- Garnish : maple syrup and dry pineapples (optional)
Place milk and water in a pan over high heat. Add oats, pumpkin and pumpkin pie spice. Cook, stirring occasionally, until all liquid is absorbed and oats is cooked through, about 10 minutes.
Serve with maple syrup and sprinkle with dry fruit.
