Chocolate Banana Ice Cream – with healthy avocado fat, no added sugar and no machine needed!
If you like combination of chocolate and banana flavor (like Chocolate Banana Thickie ), you’ll love this ice cream, too. The best of all is that it is very healthy, vegan, and without dairy or added sugar.
Chocolate Banana Ice Cream consists of frozen bananas, healthy avocados (which add creaminess and healthy fat but you cannot taste them), cocoa and sweetener of choice. You don’t even need to have ice cream maker to make this delicious dessert. Your food processor or a immersion blender will do the job just fine.

- 2 large or 3 medium bananas – frozen sliced
- 1 ripe avocado
- 1/4 c cocoa powder
- 1 tsp stevia or agave syrup (optional)
-
Mix banana and avocado using an immersion blender (or food processor) until smooth.
-
Add cocoa powder and stevia or agave syrup and blend until incorporated.
-
Pour into a container and place in freezer. Stir with a fork every 30 minutes to break up large ice particles. Do this 4 times.

I can’t get over how easy and healthy this recipe is.. and how rich and delicious the ice cream looks! Good thing I have all the ingredients on hand to make it.
I was surprised, too. It is best freshly made. When deep frozen, it takes a few minutes to thaw a little bit.
