Almond Milk Strawberry Smoothie – aronia berry (chokeberry) powder gives additional boost to your already healthy breakfast or post-workout smoothie.
Nut milks and other non-dairy milks are more and more popular these days. Whether you’re buying them or making your own, like I did using my Shortcut Homemade Milk, it is always good to know what to do with them. One of the easiest and tastiest ways to enjoy them is to mix them with fruit into a delicious smoothie.
When making my Strawberry Almond Milk Smoothie I went one step further and added a little bit of superfood aronia berry powder. Aronia berry (chokeberry) is the healthiest food in the earth. It is also known as “syberian blueberry”. I bought some aronia tea, which is basically just dried aronia fruit, and used my coffee grinder to turn it into powder. You don’t need a large quantity of it: about 1/4 teaspoon is just about enough. Aronia berry powder gives additional boost to your already healthy breakfast or post-workout smoothie.
