Amazing Mango Smoothie – the best smoothie I’ve ever tasted! Very smooth, buttery, incredibly tasty and super healthy. So rich that you can substitute it for a meal. Perfect breakfast on the go!
Amazing Mango Smoothie is probably the best smoothie I’ve ever tasted. I created it one they after experimenting with various smoothie ingredients and a new “technique” of making smoothies.
I learned from a blog post “The Skinny on Fat: Good Fats vs. Bad Fats” by Ryan Carmody from Healthy Smoothie HQ blog about the importance of using healthy fat in your smoothies. In the past I never put any fat in my smoothies because I thought it would make me gain weight. It turns out that it is just the opposite.
That is the reason I included some butter in this recipe which makes it wonderfully smooth and incredibly tasty. Vegans can use coconut butter which is the best source of healthy fat and I use it in other types of smoothies I make. I also added some chia seeds because they are rich in omega-3 fatty acids and calcium.
Another unusual ingredient in this smoothie is gelatin powder. According to Ryan “Gelatin is The Forgotten Protein Packed Superfood“. It is a source of protein, helps digestion, detoxification, joint health, sleep, helps you with weight loss and promotes healthy skin, hair and nails.
We already know about benefits of eating fruit, so mango, banana and orange juice are the base of this smoothie. Fruit can be fresh or frozen. If you use frozen fruit, you will not need any ice and it will not dilute your smoothie.
Not only is this Amazing Mango Smoothie super tasty, it is also so rich that you can substitute it for a meal if you’re in a hurry. Perfect breakfast on the go!
