Avocado Nog – cozy creamy eggless eggnog to spice your holiday spirit!
What does avocado taste remind you of? To me avocado always tastes like the yolks of hard boiled eggs. For a long time I thought I was the only one who feels that way. Then I researched a little bit and found out there are other people who think the same. There is even a scientific explanation for that: both avocado and hard boiled eggs contain some chemical compounds like sulfur, fats, and carotenoids which yield the taste.
That gave me idea to use avocado in an unusual way and make a true eggless eggnog – Avocado Nog. People usually struggle with replacing eggs in eggnog and this seems like the best solution because you already have the taste covered. With addition of vanilla extract, some nutmeg (or gingerbread spice) and maybe a little bit of banana you will get true Christmas delight. It is your choice to make it with or without alcohol.
Spike your holiday spirit this year with this cozy Avocado Nog.
