Thickie, smoothie, frosty, whichever name you give to this creamy delight – you’re right: it is thick, it is smooth and it is half frozen. And it is packed with healthy stuff – bananas and raw cacao – containing potassium, magnesium and antioxidants.
Of course, you can use fresh bananas instead of frozen, but then your smoothie will be a bit thinner. Adjust the amount of milk to reach your prefered consistency and add some sweetener if you feel you need to.
- 1 cup sliced bananas, frozen
- 3/4 cup milk, any kind
- 2 tsp cacao
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- sweetener, to taste
Blend all ingredients until smooth. Serve immediately.
Garnish with whipped topping and cocoa powder (optional).
