Fresh mango, milk, yogurt and cardamom are main ingredients of this Indian drink which is quickly gaining popularity worldwide. Lassi is enjoyed chilled as a refreshment for hot summer days. It is commonly taken with lunch. Lassi should be creamy and not too thick, neither too thin, but you can adjust the thickness according to your taste, of course.
- 1 cup ripe mangoes peeled and chopped, fresh or frozen
- 1 cup yogurt
- 1/2 cup milk
- sweetener to taste
- a pinch of ground cardamom optional
- ice optional
Blend mangoes, yogurt, milk and sweetener until smooth.
Add ice and cardamom powder and blend until combined. Add some water if you like thinner lassi.
Pour in a glass and serve immediately.
