This is a great recipe for the holidays. Taste of warm spices feels like fall when you drink it.
- 2 c milk dairy or non dairy
- 1/4 c pumpkin puree
- 1/4 c brown sugar or date paste or agave syrup or maple syrup
- 1/2 tsp pumpkin spice
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 c brewed coffee
Whisk together milk, pumpkin puree, brown sugar, pumpkin pie spice and vanilla extract. Heat until milk is hot, but not boiling. Whisk vigorously until milk mixture is frothy, about 1 minute.
Pour brewed coffee into a mug and pour the foamed pumpkin spiced milk over it. (If you are sensitive, you can pour milk mixture through a fine-mesh sieve to remove pulp.) Top with whipped topping (or cream) and sprinkle with pumpkin pie spice.
