This recipe uses light Alfredo sauce made with cauliflower instead of white cream sauce, and combines it with easy homemade tomato pasta sauce. Together with whole wheat spaghetti, it makes very tasty and healthy dish. This is true comfort food, but at the same time so good for you because it is low-fat and full of fiber and nutrients.

Ingredients
- 3/4 pound whole wheat pasta
- 2 Tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups (15 oz) tomato sauce
- salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/2 cup healthy Alfredo sauce*
- grated Parmesan cheese
- fresh basil chopped
Instructions

Cook pasta in salted boiling water according to package directions. Drain.

In a large sauce pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onions and garlic and saute for about 1 minute. Pour in tomato sauce. Season with salt and pepper. Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, for about 30 minutes.

Remove from heat and stir in healthy Alfredo sauce and cheese. Stir in cooked pasta and chopped basil and serve immediately.
