Cucumber Dill Greek Salad, or Tzatziki salad, consists of thinly sliced cucumbers with a dressing resembling famous Tzatziki dip. It is a mixture of Greek yogurt and sour cream with lemon juice (or white vinegar), minced garlic and chopped fresh dill.
Refreshing and cooling, Cucumber Dill Greek Salad is best served with grilled meat, like gyros, or any other grilled dish.
- 1 lb cucumbers 2 large
- 1 Tablespoon Greek yogurt
- 1 Tablespoon sour cream
- 1 Tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh dill chopped
- salt and ground black pepper to taste
Peel and finely slice the cucumbers. You can use a food processor with appropriate attachment, a mandoline slicer, a vegetable peeler or a sharp knife to do that.
In a salad bowl, mix Greek yogurt with sour cream, lemon juice, minced garlic and dill. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Add cucumber and toss with yogurt mixture until well combined. Adjust seasoning if necessary.
Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
