In a large bowl, combine cottage cheese, butter, flour, salt and baking powder. Mix to form a dough. You can use food processor for this step (I did).

Roll out the dough on a floured surface. Rolled dough should be about 1/3 inch (1 cm) thick. Using a sharp knife cut in sticks, about 2 inches (7 cm) long.

Transfer cheese sticks to a baking tray lined with baking paper. Brush tops with beaten egg. Sprinkle with salt, cumin seeds, sesame seeds or other toppings of your choice.

Bake in 350 F (175 C) preheated oven for about 20 minutes or until golden.
