Cherry Dump Cake

Ingredients
  • 1 ounce can cherry pie filling 21 ; 1 1/2 cup
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 - 2 1/2 teaspoon baking powder*
  • 1 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup butter softened, 1 stick + 2 tsp; 125 g
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon grated lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
  1. Dump cherry pie filling into greased and floured 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Put the flour, baking powder, sugar, eggs, butter, salt, lemon zest and vanilla into a bowl of food processor and mix until combined. Dump the mixture iinto the pan over cherry filling.
  3. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for about 1 hour.

*less baking powder will create cobbler-like cake
