  • 3/4 cups black tea leaves (or rooibos tea)
  • cardamom and other spices, to taste
  • 6 cups boiling water
  • 1/2 cup sugar or sweetener
  • 1 1/2 cup evaporated milk or evaporated milk substitute, whole milk, half and half, or coconut milk
  1. Steep the tea leaves and spices in boiling water for 5 minutes, then strain. Stir in sugar until dissolved. Allow to cool to room temperature.
  2. Fill 6 glasses with ice. Pour in tea mixture. Top off with evaporated milk, but do not stir.
