Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 cup milk (any kind) or water
  • 1-2 Tbsp sugar, or to taste (optional)
  • 3 Tbsp instant* semolina
  • grated chocolate optional
Instructions
STOVE TOP:
  1. In a saucepan, set milk and sugar over medium heat.
  2. When the milk comes to a boil, pour semolina into the pan in a thin stream. Continue whisking until it is incorporated. Cook, whisking constantly, for about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Transfer Semolina Pudding into a bowl, top with grated chocolate and serve.

INSTANT POT (electric pressure cooker):
  1. Pour 2 cups (preferably hot) water into the base of your Instant Pot. Place a trivet in the pot and a heat-proof bowl on the trivet.

  2. Pour 1 1/4 cup HOT milk in the bowl. Add semolina and sugar and whisk. Do not cover the bowl.

  3. Close the lid of the Instant Pot. Set to "Porridge" function for 10 minutes and the valve to "Sealing".

  4. When cooking is finished, press "Keep Warm/Cancel" button and wait for a pressure to drop naturally (natural release).

Recipe Notes

*If you use regular semolina instead of instant one, you'll need to cook it for at least 15 minutes.
