Strawberry Dump Cake - probably the easiest cake ever! Fresh strawberries, cake mix and butter dumped in a cake pan, baked and served with vanilla ice cream. Yum!

  • 5 cups fresh strawberries , sliced
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • zest from 1/4 lemon (optional)
  • 1 white or yellow cake mix , homemade* or store-bought
  • 1/2 cup (120 g) butter, melted
  1. Strawberry Dump Cake: Place strawberries in a buttered or oiled 9x13" baking dish. Sprinkle sugar, vanilla and lemon zest over it and toss to combine.

  2. "Dump" dry Cake Mix over strawberries.

  3. Pour melted butter on top.
  4. Bake in 350 F (175 C) oven for about 30 minutes or until top is golden.
