  • 1/2 cup hemp seeds
  • 2 cups fresh basil
  • 1-2 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 3 Tbsp Parmesan cheese or nutritional yeast for vegans
  • salt and black pepper to taste
  1. Put hemp seeds, basil leaves and garlic cloves in a food processor. Mix until ingredients are roughly chopped.
  2. While the food processor is still running, slowly add olive oil in a thin stream and process until fully incorporated and smooth.
  3. Season with salt and pepper. Add lemon juice and Parmesan cheese and mix until well combined. Add a bit more cheese or oil until you're happy with consistency.
