Peach Chia Jam – excellent healthy fruit spread for your breakfast. Contains all the good ingredients of fruit and chia seeds. No sugar needed.
Raw Peach Chia Jam is excellent when you need a healthy fruit spread for your breakfast. It can be easily made and it contains all the good ingredients of fruit and chia seeds. Besides, you do not need to add any sugar.
I tried adding one banana instead of sweetener and I liked it. It is hard to say which jam is better – with or without banana. You can omit banana completely and use just peaches. If you need to sweeten it, add some agave syrup, maple syrup or honey.
Also, some spices can be added, like vanilla, cinnamon, cloves etc. I wanted to emphasize natural flavor of peaches, so I added just a little bit of vanilla.
Since it is not cooked and does not contain any sugar, Peach Chia Jam cannot be kept for long. Make a small batch and keep it in the refrigerator for up to one week.

- 2 cups chopped peaches*
- 1 banana, mashed (optional)
- 2 Tbsp chia seeds
- 1-2 Tbsp sweetener, agave syrup or honey
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
-
Put peaches, banana (if using) and sweetener of your choice in your blender, and blend until smooth.
-
Pour into a pint jar and stir in chia seeds with a spoon.
-
Ccover and place in the refrigerator to thicken, at least 1 hour.
*I didn't peel peaches, but you can if you prefer it that way.

loving this recipe, never thought to make a peach and chia jam before… i have only ever made chia and raspberry. i definitely will be recreating the recipe.
This looks so yummy! What’s that first layer on the cracker there under the jam?
It is butter.
How long would that last out of the fridge? Thinking about taking it on a trip 🙂
I’m afraid it wouldn’t last long because it is not cooked so it could spoil very quickly. And banana will oxidize and become brown. Maybe it could last for a day.
Thank you!
Could you can this?
How long would it be good for?
I’m not sure about that.
